CBM Calculator
Calculate volume per box and total cubic meters in one place.
CBM Calculator
Calculate shipping volume from box dimensions and quantity.
Length × width × height (m) = CBM per box
For boxes of the same size. 1 CBM = 1 m³.
What is CBM?
CBM means cubic meter (m³), a measure of volume. A box CBM calculator helps you estimate the space occupied by a carton from its outer dimensions. Measure the packed box, including any protruding packaging.
CBM formula
In centimeters: length × width × height ÷ 1,000,000. In meters: length × width × height. The result is the CBM per box.
Total CBM for multiple cartons
Multiply the CBM per box by the quantity of identical cartons. For mixed sizes, calculate each group separately and add their totals. This estimate excludes pallets and unused loading space; a carrier’s chargeable volume may differ.
Simple example
A 60 × 45 × 40 cm carton occupies 0.108 m³. For 10 identical cartons, 0.108 × 10 = 1.080 m³. Entering 0.6 × 0.45 × 0.4 m gives the same result.
