Conversion & calculation
JPG to WebP Converter
Convert a JPG for web use and compare WebP quality and output size.
Up to 20 MB per file · Up to 20 megapixels
Images are processed in your browser. Reducing the width preserves the aspect ratio.
JPG replaces transparency with white. GIF is converted to a still image of its first frame.
How to use
- Choose an image in the required source format. The output format is preselected.
- Optionally reduce the maximum width and adjust quality, then convert and download the result.
Formula and conversion method
New height = original height × (new width ÷ original width)
Worked example
1000×500 JPG → width 600 px, quality 80% → 600×300 WebP
Things to know
WebP encoding depends on browser support. Output size varies with image content even at the same quality setting.
